Women Leading Change in Rajasthan

Balveer Mahila Producer Company Limited was formed by women members of Rajeevika Self-Help Groups in Manoharthana Block of Jhalawar district. Established under the 10K FPO Programme, the company was created to strengthen the economic position of small and marginal women farmers.

Starting with collective mobilisation, the FPO built a strong governance system led entirely by women directors. The organisation focused on improving access to agricultural inputs, strengthening market linkages, and enabling collective business operations.

Today, the company has mobilised 697 women farmers and built a growing shareholder base. Through systematic business planning, compliance management, and collective enterprise development, Balveer Mahila Producer Company has emerged as a model of women-led rural entrepreneurship.

Its success demonstrates how collective action and strong governance can help women farmers move from subsistence farming towards sustainable enterprise development.
